THE GUEST ENTRANCE
Guests enter 'The Bungalow' through a roomy conservatory
situated on the sunny, south side of the building. Two of our bedrooms are
fortunate in that they are east-facing and have magnificent views over
to Lindisfarne Castle and beyond as well as of the established
gardens.
Access to both the breakfast room and guest wing
are via the guest entrance and with separate proprietor access
and accommodation elsewhere in the building, guests are afforded
the maximum privacy.

RESIDENTS' CAR PARK
If you have stayed on the Island before then one thing you really
will appreciate is a residents' car park. It has more than
enough capacity to allow for residents' vehicles.
If you arrive early you may be able to avoid
expensive municiple charges by parking right away. But do let the
proprietor know as we need occasional access for deliveries - and
we may have guests departing later in the day.

VIEWS ABOUND AROUND
The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is one of those very
special places. Almost every time you pause there is different
picture to be taken - and never is the view of the castle more
beautiful than on a January morning. But it is in the Spring, Summer
and Autumn when the garden comes into its own. And if it's
raining, where better to enjoy the view than the conservatory.
And if it's fine, why not step down the garden where the vista
extends from the harbour, castle, local countryside to the Dunes
and North Side beyond.

SECLUDED GARDEN
It seems that almost everything flourishes on the Island.
The secluded gardens are no exception. Guests are encouraged to
tarry a while in the garden.
With Swallows, House Martins and Hedgesparrows in abundance you
really never quite know what species will turn up next. Indeed,
we understand that 'The Straight Lonnen' holds the record for the
greatest variety of birds seen in a single day in the whole of the British Isles!
But it's not only birdlife that you will see here. At certain times
of the year all manner of butterflies waft their way into the garden adding to your pleasure. |
